  1. What? Running out of good ones? This one clearly shows the kid is well in front of the man who is implied to be “in” the ball of fire.

  2. Goll-Lee, Dave. You’re a quick study!

  3. So what are we saying here… That was the point of the post? I’m dense here? Nice…

  4. Sure, it’s obvious the guy’s not getting immolated for the camera. Just like it was obvious that the antlers were on the wall behind the woman. It’s still funny.

  5. See, I guess I’m too literal for this site. I didn’t find this funny. I have found many other posts hilarious, but this one did nothing for me since it was clear that the fireball was not even close to the person in the background. It looked like an article out of a newspaper (which it obviously is).

That’s allright though guys. You won’t have to suffer my possible comments anymore (other than here). I have unsubscribed and won’t bother viewing the site anymore. It’s clear that this site is for “special” folks and not for me.

  6. Noooooo! Don’t go Dave M.!!!

Dude, not everyone can be a home run.

  7. See ya — wouldn’t wanna be ya.

  8. @Madd Maxx: If it’s the posts here you are talking about, I understand. I’m sure its incredibly hard to come up with these post. I had no problem with that.

If it’s the folks that leave comments (sorry, just finished watching all of Firefly/Serenity) that you are talking about, well, I can relate to that too. However, I don’t take to kindly to being insulted. I don’t mind criticism and hope that others don’t either. Its how we learn. I just don’t see the need to be in the company of children that like to hide behind the anonymity of a handle and a keyboard.

  9. @Dave M: Welcome to the internet. It’s all “children that like to hide behind the anonymity of a handle and a keyboard.”

If you can’t handle it, you better unplug.

  10. @ Dave M. – My comment had a typo. I meant to say “every one”, meaning the articles. Of course it applies to the comments as well. I try to keep them funny (at least to me) even if the article is lacking. If I don’t think the article is funny or if I can’t come up with anything funny to say about it, I don’t complain, I just move on to the next one.

With that said, I don’t see anything here that could be considered an insult…just good old fashioned sarcasm.

BTW – Aren’t you supposed to not be viewing this site anymore? ;-)

  11. @Madd: I’m not viewing the site, just responding to comments. As I said, its got to be very difficult to come up with great articles to post here every day. I get that. It just seemed that the one here in question was assuming that the fire was actually on the person as opposed to in front of them. I just thought it was implied that the fireball was on the dude.

As far as the comments being “sarcasm”. Maybe I’m Sheldon when it comes to sarcasm, but I don’t see it from where I’m sitting.

@m00n: You know, that’s just it. There are many sites out there that don’t have children posting snide comments attacking other commenters. The responses I saw here reminded me of the days of UseNET news feeds and how the posters in those forums treated AOL’er at the time. Mind you, a lot of the abuse was probably valid. However, they treated everyone the same no matter how educated the post was, if it was from an AOL’er, it was abused.

[Editor's note: Can't we all just get along?]

  12. @ Dave M.

We’re rubber and you’re glue. What you say bounces off of us and sticks to you.

    There, told you.

    Have a wonderful day!:)
